Fyracle 0.8.8 released
- Moved Fyracle from FB1.5.1 to FB1.5.2
- Added support for global temporary tables
- Added support for INTEGER and PLS_INTEGER datatypes
- Fixed several bugs
The syntax for temporary tables, both in Fyracle and
Firebird mode is:
CREATE GLOBAL TEMPORARY TABLE ..normal table def...
[ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS] | [ON COMMIT PRESERVE ROWS]
The default is ON COMMIT DELETE ROWS.

An updated patch file, with the full diff between
FB1.5.2 release and Fyracle 0.8.8 will be made
available during the next week.

The recommended upgrade procedure is to first
uninstall any previous versions of Fyracle and only
then to install the new 0.8.8 release. Remember
to save your configuration files (firebird.conf
and aliases.conf) if you changed them!
The uninstaller has a start menu entry on Windows
and can be found at the top of the install
directory on Linux and Windows.
Fyracle 0.8.9 add support for Java stored procedures
and Fyracle 0.8.10 will add support for packages.
The current Compiere demo is still 2.5.1g The last
upgrade to these files was on Feb 1st. Updated
files, which make it easier to configure the server
will be made available during the next few weeks.
